Food Industry Flooring in Polyurethane

Seamless, antibacterial polyurethane flooring for the food industry's most demanding environments – from breweries and dairies to slaughterhouses and central kitchens.

Real installations in the food industry

UQESH's flooring systems are developed for the food industry's most demanding environments – from breweries and dairies to slaughterhouses, bakeries and central kitchens. The systems are seamless, withstand daily high-pressure washing, high temperatures and chemical spills, with documented resistance to food-related substances such as milk, soy sauce, juice and vegetable oils. The floors are also antibacterial – independent tests show fewer than 10 bacteria (E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus) on treated surfaces, compared to hundreds of thousands on untreated concrete. Seven industry segments where UQESH's flooring systems are in operation today, with customers including AB InBev, Coca-Cola and Sam's Club.

Traditional epoxy flooring is a common standard solution in the food industry, but has known limitations: under heavy impacts from heavy machinery or falling equipment, epoxy can crack at the point of impact, creating pockets where bacteria and food residue can accumulate – a direct hygiene problem in production environments. UQESH's waterborne polyurethane systems are engineered to avoid this: under the same type of load, only minimal impact marks occur, without cracking, keeping the surface sealed and easy to clean. Combined with the floor's documented antibacterial properties – fewer than 10 bacteria on treated surfaces according to independent tests – this delivers a solution that maintains hygiene standards even after years of daily operation in demanding food environments.
